Hello! My name is Mai. I'm from Kyoto, Japan. These are some of the most popular recipes in Japan. They are healthy and easy to make. Most of them take 20 minutes or less to prepare. Itadakimasu! (Let's eat!)

I made this recently with a few cooked soy beans thrown it each cup instead of the ginko nut. No lily bulbs in my area but still turned out OK :)

JpFdAdctFan,
You don't need to use plastic wrap, but you should cover it with something to steam the food. Anything will work as long as it traps in the steam!

I love this dish! Simple, Easy, Healthy, and Delicious!

Quick question: is the plastic wrap necessary? My mother thinks heating plastic is bad for the food. Is there an alternative?
