Hello! My name is Mai. I'm from Kyoto, Japan. These are some of the most popular recipes in Japan. They are healthy and easy to make. Most of them take 20 minutes or less to prepare. Itadakimasu! (Let's eat!)

Hi - grew up in Japan, so love these. My Japanese aunt puts a smidge of curry powder to the potato mixture and only a very small amount of meat, and it tasted just like I remember from my youth. The curry powder is the secret, I think. Love your site and am glad I found it!

I made these last night and double the ingredients. They were fantastic and a huge hit with my family. It turns out i didn't have enough, and they were all wanting more. Next time i will have to triple the ingredients. Thank-you so much for a fantastic recipe. This is definitely a keeper and will be making them again as my 2 daughters want to take some for their school lunch. Thanks Mai for sharing :-)

Thank you so much for the recipe. I tried to make these once but failed miserably.
Your easy to follow instructions will help me succeed in making something delicious, I just know it. I will let you know how things come out. :)

I love this recipe because it is so simple. I've tried these before with another recipe but they didn't come out as good as I expected I must try this one.
