Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup in which we use dashi for the base, then mix with miso paste. Jyagaimo means potato. You might not think so, but potatoes goes really well with miso soup.

Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 potato (cut into thin French fry shapes)
- 1/8 cup chopped green onion
Spices
- 1 tsp hon dashi
- 2 tbsp miso paste
Preparation
- Boil 3 cups of water
- When the water boils, add potato and cook 3 minutes, or until soft
- Add hon dashi, miso, and mix
- Serve in a small bowl with green onions

I love how your recipes are simple. I have gone to a number of different sites and blogs on Japanese cooking and sometimes the recipes are too overwhelming for me to try so thank you for keeping it simple.
